The Hamlets & District Wellbeing Club

The Wellbeing Club is a welcoming community hub offering fun, low-pressure activities to bring people together. From walks, yoga and wild swims to quizzes, art, and outings, there's something for everyone—whether you’re stepping out of your comfort zone or settling into it. Locals enjoy free or discounted entry, early booking, and a friendly WhatsApp group to stay connected. No pressure, no expectations—just good company, shared experiences, and a chance to try something different. Every pound raised goes back into the club, helping us grow. Come for the activity, stay for the connection. Better together, always.

What's it all About?

The logo...

The roughly drawn circles represent the fact that we're all different, in many different ways as shown by the variety of colours with diffetent sizes that interact in different ways. Difference is a good thing and to be embraced and celebrated. Life would be very dull without difference. It reflects the fact that we don't expect to please everyone all of the time, but maybe some people, some of the time. We hope to see as many people at different things as possible, but you decide what you want to do, or not to do.

Introduction

The Community Council contributed £1800 to be used to promote wellbeing in our community. A small group was formed to direct these funds to worthwhile causes. The group decided to use the funds to prime activities that residents have suggested.

The idea is to give assistance in setting up activities that bring people together around a common interest that improves health and wellbeing. Any activities which prove to have interested residents will be further supported to establish an informal contact group, probably with its own WhatsApp group so that those who are interested can keep in touch with each other to develop their shared activity or interest.

The initiative runs until July 2026. We hope that various activities will have been tried and enough people are interested enough to just get on with it themselves. That could be a couple of people decide to go wild swimming occasionally, or a group become part of a Pilates class. That part will be up to you.
