Would anyone be interested in becoming part of a new creative writing group – via zoom at the moment. The general idea of the group would be to write a piece of work which could be anything that takes your fancy, fiction, faction, biography, history, life writing. Maybe even poetry. In groups I’ve seen previously, they aim for 500 words ‘flash fiction’, or even shorter pieces (or longer). The author can read their piece, or a selection from it, if they want. They can also choose to do it without comment or receive a ‘critique’. In some groups, I’ve seen a theme be proposed, like; my first kiss, the one that got away etc. If we did get this off the ground, we could spend the first meeting deciding on what the group would look like, how often it meets and so on, what it's to be called and so on. Please get in touch if interested – or put someone else in touch if you think they might be. It may be wise to limit the group to 10 members otherwise it might be difficult for everyone to get a chance to read all contributions. But I’m open to persuasion as they say.
