The group was created in January and we had the first submissions by the four inaugural members at the end of the month. The brief was anything creative on theme of 'New Start'. See the entries below, but go to the tab (to the left of the News) and you will see the dropdown GCWG. From there, you will see a PDF for each of the stories. Here's a few snippets to entice you. Comments and feedback always welcome.

I was duly informed that there would be new rules for the household mealtime arrangements and that I will be responsible for making tea. After all, a new year, a new start. I set to work to plan my feast for the night. When my lovely lady returned home to see what I had done, she furrowed her brows and a dark look fell upon her normally sunny countenance...

Fuck it.
‘A bottle of Lagavulin.’ Go on. You know you want to. ‘And twenty Benson and Hedges please, Annie.’
‘I didn’t know you smoked,’ Annie says, lifting a grey plastic flap that conceals the packs from view. Used to be a colourful backdrop to the counter. A cornucopia of colours vying for the customers’ attention. Buy me! No! Me! Now, a grey wall of little plastic flaps. Like a wall of drawers of a miniature morgue. Fucking depressing...
