I received an enquiry from someone asking about the location of a tree planted in the hall grounds by a Mr Crawford who was a resident of Edentown at the time.
Does anyone know which tree he may be looking for?
The Answer
Allan Crawford, the proprietor of the Village Garage in Ladybank, recognised that this was his grandfather, William Crawford, the oldest resident of Edentown at the time. He kindly supplied a couple of photographs of the ceremony, showing William and Giffordtown resident George Calley planting the birch tree in the south east corner of the hall grounds.

This photo shows William Crawford posing beside the tree he planted.

And this is a photo of the tree today.
