Quite a long walk but really enjoyable as it takes in the very scenic Maspie Den yet provides a bit of a challenge for those more adventurous.

About The Event
Starting from the Falkland Estate Stables car park and café, head through the estate grounds, over the ornamental bridge, and follow signs for Maspie Den. The path narrows into the steep-sided gorge, where mossy rocks, ferns, and tree canopies frame the trail. Follow the burn upstream, crossing wooden footbridges and passing cascades before reaching the dramatic Yad Waterfall, where the path ducks behind the falling water.
From here, climb steadily on forest paths out of the gorge, with glimpses of the Howe of Fife below. Continue uphill towards West Lomond, crossing moorland until the hill’s distinctive summit comes into view. The short, steep grassy climb to the top rewards you with sweeping views over Fife, the Firth of Forth, and, on a clear day, the Highlands.
