Policies & Procedures
Community Council policies provide a clear and consistent framework for how decisions are made and activities are carried out. They promote transparency, fairness and accountability, while helping residents understand how the Community Council operates and what they can expect from it.
These policies are supplementary to Fife Council’s Scheme for the Establishment of Community Councils. The Scheme remains the overarching framework governing Community Councils, while local policies provide additional practical guidance on how Giffordtown & District Community Council applies those principles in its day-to-day work. Local policies do not replace or override the Scheme.
