I was alerted to some vehicles trying to create yet another passing place by driving onto the verge, co-incidentally at the same place where the saplings were destroyed.
As a short term measure, I've moved some of the tree guards to form a temporary barrier - you can see the wheel tracks in this picture too. Hopefully, this will stop another mess being made.

A better longer term solution would be to get a hold of some big boulders. Does anyone know where we might get some?

No! But I'm very concerned about the existing areas of verge degradation near the junction with the Kilwhiss Road and the B937. We have quite a lot of grass sods and excess soil which I would be happy stacking to infill the verge loss but don't want to be accused of fly tipping... Also I have a couple of small willow trees which you could have to replace vandalised trees!
Let me know of opinions!
