What you need is a plan #2

While still waiting for a plan we were mowing the grass and digging parts of the front garden. This was a tougher job than I at first imagined. The grass we were digging up had only been sown the previous year but was already full of thistles, buttercups, clover, builders rubble and stones. Dave has taken the stone eradication to be his chosen task.
But low and behold after a while ....

I then started to plan another part of the front garden. Using some inspiration from Piet Oudolf I planned a hot colour bed. But first the digging.

Then the planting could begin. I was given quite a few garden vouchers from friends so the cost was somewhat offset. I wanted things to look good fairly quickly and so I planted this area up just as if I was in one of those garden makeover shows on TV.

When we got back from holiday in July this is what we saw.....everything had gone mad and the bees were just loving it.

And meanwhile the plan arrived.

oh wrote a new post and think its disappeared!
